Make sure the pan you plan to use is nice and hot before you start adding batter. You can use 1/3 to 1/2 of a cup to determine how much should be poured into the pan. When your pan is hot enough, begin pouring in the batter and be ready to flip it when you see bubbles popping up throughout the batter. For even more simplicity, pour the batter into a waffle maker. Now all that’s left to do is grab the syrup and enjoy the most important meal of the day while cheesing from ear to ear, Marijuana Waffles!
For example, if you are planning to prepare 30 cookies with your full gram of wax that has 65% (650 mg) THC, then you’ll simply divide 650mg by 30, yielding 21.7mg (approx.. 22mg) per each cookie—which is a little higher than what some states allow for sale. This is a high amount for inexperienced users. If you’re not entirely sure, it is a good idea to start on the low end and mix in less, or even half of your concentrate until you arrive at a comfortable euphoria.

Also, when you're cooking in a pan to, say, sauté something, you have to be very careful. Obviously people use butter and oil to sauté all the time, but if you're thinking of using canna-butter or oil, just be aware that you can't use it in the same way you'd use anything else. When you're doing a dish that requires [cooking on a stovetop], what you have to do is put [the canna-butter or canna-oil] in at the end. Basically, you shut the heat off and you mix the butter or oil around to coat everything while the pan is still hot. That way, you won't lose any of the potency.

First, take the leaves and stems in to the jug. Use as much of the cannabis as possible. This recipe is very good for growers who are looking to recycle all of their plants. Take the fruit and squeeze the juice out, adding it to the jug. Be sure to use fresh fruit. The canned stuff just doesn’t taste the same. On your stove, boil 3 quarts of water. Be sure to use a non aluminum pan , as well as non stick. Dissolve the sugar/honey mix in to the water. Once it’s fully dissolved, pour the mix in to the jug, place the cap on tightly and shake well. Set the jug aside to cool after loosening the cap. Using warm water, dissolve the yeast cake completely and then check to see if the water in the jug has cooled. If it has, pour in the yeast mixture in with the water, making sure to leave room at the top. Add in about two inches of cool water, leaving enough room to cover the top with the cap loosely. Put the jug somewhere dark and let it sit for about two weeks. Every so often, remove the cap and push the contents of the jug down with a wooden spoon. Remember to loosely close the top after. Sometimes, liquid will spill over. Be sure to wipe it if so. This process should last about two weeks. Add in small amounts of cool water every few days and remember to keep pushing the contents down. When two weeks have passed, you can begin to see if the fermentation process has completed. Tilt the jug and if no bubbles rise from the bottom of the jug, it’s done. Do not shake the contents o the jug.

As the wax melts, be sure to have your jars set up on the side, ready for the finished mixture. After the wax has completely melted, stir in the vitamin E and the Arnica oil. Keep in mind that once this mix is removed from the heat source, it will begin to solidify so very quickly take it from the stove and move it in to the jars. Leave the jars uncovered to set overnight.

When the glycerin has cooled, put on your gloves and put the cheesecloth over the mouth of the mason jar. I took the circle part of the jar and screwed it back on over the cloth to keep in in place. While they do have a lot of similarities, confusing the two can have serious consequences—getting uncomfortably stoned, ruining a pan, or even wasting your weed. To truly understand their unique and similar qualities, we need to look at how they’re made, how they’re used, and where you can get them.
Ok, im not dising the people who wrote this book they are good recipes, just don't pay attention to how much of some ingredients to use. I don't think they proof read this book before publishing it. if they did they may have been adjusted. I cook a lot and know off the top of my head you don't use the amounts of baking soda and powder for a basic muffin or pancakes mix as printed, tbls instead of tsp makes a big difference in baking. but nice effort, I think more in-depth explanations on how to make the basic ingredients you need to have, before attempting your culinary creations, would be more beneficial then the messed up recipes in this book.

While too much heat will kill your THC, some heat is necessary. Most people do not realize the raw cannabis plant contains no THC at all. It does contain THC-A (or THC-acid). It takes the process of adding heat or decarboxylation to make the chemical reaction that converts THC-A to THC. If you are infusing butter or oil, some decarboxylation is taken care of in the process of infusion, mostly.  But lab tests show that even when making infusions, decarbing first will up the percentage of THC extracted.  If you are cooking with kief you will need to decarboxylate first. Another reason to use this technique is without water in the mix, the plant material tends absorbs too much of the oil.  This means usable product is going into the trash, a problem that’s reduced when adding water.  The increased liquid volume also gives cooks the option to add more plant material in order to make more concentrated infusions if they wish.
Every strain is, of course, unique. Maybe you want a high-CBD strain, a sedating Indica, or a peppy Sativa. All work great. Just make sure to use a strain that has a rich terpene profile to get the most health benefits from your oil. Also, we recommend using strains with lower THC levels that you might use for smoking or vaping — around 10 – 15% is good. No Durban Poison or Dutch Treat, please.

That's not the way it works. A lot of people say, "Oh yeah, I put a gram of Blue Dream into my brownies and they were amazing." No, they really weren't. First of all, I don't believe you, because if you're going to put the actual ground-up bud into your brownies, sure, there's going to be some form of decarboxylation that occurs, and you'll get some of the potency of the herb into your brownies. But they'll taste horrible and your body most likely will reject the brownies (read: you'll vomit) because our digestive systems are not designed to digest plant matter like that.

CBD and CBDa, among other cannabinoids have been demonstrated to be useful against many skin conditions and pain associated with arthritis, nerve pain, and cancer. To extract the cannabinoids in the High CBD Hash Oil use either edible methodology described above.  You can activate more CBDa to CBD by simmering the solution on the stove for the 30 minutes instead of being cautious not to create bubbles.
One major difference between marijuana butter and cannabis oil is their accessibility. In states where marijuana is legal, cannabis oil can be readily found at nearly any dispensary. For those in less marijuana-friendly states, cannabis oil can be impossible to find and using the traditional method of making a personal batch of weed butter is their best bet for experiencing edibles this 4/20.

Instead of a sauce pan should I use a pyrex measuring cup above a small pot of boiling water ( a makeshift double boiler) so the oil never gets above boiling temp 212 , so there wont be any chance of destroying potency?
Unless you are working with a cannabis concentrate (like CO2 oil) that is labeled ‘activated’, you will need decarboxylate your starting material to maximize the effect of your edibles. To do so, we recommend preheating your over to approximately 220-225°F. It helps to use an oven thermometer to check the accuracy of your oven; ours ran nearly 20 degrees hotter than it was set! The specific temperature will dictate how long it takes for your starting material to decarboxylate. As you can see on the chart below, it will likely take between 45 and 60 minutes to fully decarb your material at this temperature. If using a different temperature, be sure to adjust your oven time accordingly!

please help me with this confusion. Ideally, decarboxylation takes place at a temperature just over 200 for about just under an hour. This is accomplished in boiling water, which reaches and maintains about 212 degrees. So if I boil the herb at that temp for an hour, isn’t that decarboxylating it? Why do it in the oven first and then do it again in the saucepan? What am I missing?
After making several batches of cookies over the past year, in my opinion decarbing your weed before making butter might not be necessary. I noticed a weaker high when eating a decarbed cookie vs and undecarbed cookie. This is all anecdotal but that’s how I feel. The cooking process while making the butter which is a 3 hour long boil and while the cookies are being baked, should be enough. But those cookies jack me up more than any other edible I have ever purchased. I will always make my own.
Voila! Congratulations, you’re done with the hard part. Now either store the oil in the airtight jar somewhere cool and dark, or use immediately. Oxygen and light are the enemies of cannabis oil, as they can lessen the potency and freshness of the oil. If you store it properly, your oil can last up to 60 (maybe 90) days. Or you can freeze or refrigerate it to make it last longer.

Check out how strong your infused oil is on yourself. Just take a small teaspoon of your newly infused fat as a personal dose. Wait an hour. This will help you determine how strong the batch is.
