Remove from oven and allow to cool fully before removing the foil. Depending on the material you use, it may be fine enough and require no further processing. Set the jug aside to cool after loosening the cap. Using warm water, dissolve the yeast cake completely and then check to see if the water in the jug has cooled. If it has, pour in the yeast mixture in with the water, making sure to leave room at the top. Add in about two inches of cool water, leaving enough room to cover the top with the cap loosely. Put the jug somewhere dark and let it sit for about two weeks. Every so often, remove the cap and push the contents of the jug down with a wooden spoon. Remember to loosely close the top after. Sometimes, liquid will spill over. Be sure to wipe it if so. This process should last about two weeks. Add in small amounts of cool water every few days and remember to keep pushing the contents down. When two weeks have passed, you can begin to see if the fermentation process has completed. Tilt the jug and if no bubbles rise from the bottom of the jug, it’s done. Do not shake the contents o the jug.
Preheat your oven to 350 F and line a non insulated cookie sheet with parchment paper. Take a knife or kitchen shears and CAREFULLY remove the kale leaves from the thicker stems. Cut up the leaves in to small, chip sized pieces. The actual size of the chip is up to you. I made mine about 1 inch by 1 inch. Be sure to wash the leaves thoroughly and dry them. Some people have access to a salad spinner but for those that don’t, I used paper towels and blotted them dry. Lay the kale out on the cookie sheet and slowly pour the cannabis olive oil over the the kale chips and then sprinkles with the sea salt and pepper, as well as any other spices that you’d like to add in. Place the chips in the oven and bake them until the edges begin to turn brown, absolutely no longer than 10 minutes. Let the chips cool off for a bit and your healthy, medicated snack is ready!

The first step is to infuse the olive oil with cannabis. Using the cheesecloth and the twine, wrap the cannabis up in to a little bundle. As the wax melts, be sure to have your jars set up on the side, ready for the finished mixture. After the wax has completely melted, stir in the vitamin E and the Arnica oil. Keep in mind that once this mix is removed from the heat source, it will begin to solidify so very quickly take it from the stove and move it in to the jars. Leave the jars uncovered to set overnight.

Hi, I used 15g of quality stuff here in Hawaii, 2 cups coconut organic oil and 2 tablespoons of litchen granules. Spelled in wrong. Anyways I decarb in the oven for 30 min at 240, put everything in crock pot on a low for most the day and keep warm for some sitting occasionally. I cooked for 10 hours strained and chilled. Used it later that the next day in brownies and cookies adding 1/2 cup to a gluten free brownie mix, and and 3/4 cup to chocolate cookies. I ate two cookies. It only felt a little bit but I was high all day. Should this be enough for decent edibles or will I have to eat a lot?

All in all, they’re not so different—but they’re definitely not the same. Cannabis oil can be used to make marijuana butter, but not all marijuana butter is made from cannabis oil. While nearly anyone with cooking experience can make marijuana-infused oil or butter, making cannabis oil should be left to the chemists, and while weed and cannabis oil are mostly readily available in legal states, pre-made marijuana butter can be hard to find—leaving both legal residents and those getting their bud on the black market in the same boat: making it at home.
BUT…that said, you must be EXTREMELY cautious when it comes to THC and pets, especially dogs as dogs have more cannabinoid receptors in their brains than any other species! Likewise, it is very easy for them to get too much. In most cases they will sleep it off and be fine but it is scary for the owner to watch and uncomfortable for the pet if they get too much. Overdose is characterized by a condition known as Static Ataxia, which is characterized by a wide-legged stance, drooling, disorientation, and the animal being hypersensitive to touch (if you pet dog who has had too much, it will react almost like an electrical shock). They are likely to have quick shallow breathing too. It can take hours to wear off and it is scary to watch.
Combine oil and cannabis in your double-boiler or slow cooker, and heat the two together on low or warm for a few hours. This allows for decarboxylation (activation of THC) without scorching (which destroys the active ingredients). Cooking can be done a variety of ways: in a slow cooker on low for 4-6 hours, stirring occasionally; in a double-boiler on low for at least 6 hours (8 is better), stirring occasionally; or in a simple saucepan on low for at least three hours, stirring frequently (a saucepan is most susceptible to scorching). In all cases, a small amount of water can be added to the mixture to help avoid burning. Note: whatever method you choose, temperature of the oil should not exceed 245°F.
